She was born in London (UK) in 1974 and received her MS degree in Physics at the University of Genoa (IT) in 1999. In 2004 she received her Ph.D. degree in Physics at the EPFL in Lausanne (CH). From 2005 to 2009 she worked at Selex Communications SpA on wireless networks of nanostructured gas sensors. From 2009 to 2019 she worked at the Department of Naval, Electrical, Electronic and Telecommunications Engineering (DITEN) of the University of Genoa, where she works from December 2019 as an Assistant Professor. Her research focuses on developing electronic systems to artificially restore the sense of touch (e-skin). In 2018 she has got the Italian National Scientific Habilitation to the role of Associate Professor of Electronics.
