Digital ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) are at the core of almost all modern electronic devices. They are built using the silicon chip technology and enable industrial companies to fabricate complex systems including wireless devices, sensor and actuator controllers, tablets, computers, network routers, automotive devices, etc.
We are mainly focused on new aspects of ASIC design like the dependability of integrated systems implemented through the management of resource redundancy; the modern validation procedure, like Universal Verification Methodology (UVM); ASIC prototyping through reconfigurable hardware; fault detection and prevention through redundancy and the novelty detection technology.
The fields of applications we are working on are embedded systems for monitoring and managing industrial plant; IPs for data computing; transmission protocols; wireless sensor networks.
